Good Weather and Success for the Swansea Bowling Association's Semi Final Day

On a day of sunshine and torrential showers, we witnessed top class bowls across an excellent surface provided by Victoria Saints Bowls Club. 

The semi finals were completed on schedule, and we thank all participating bowlers for the way they conducted themselves both on and off the green.

Congratulations to the winners who will now go forward to finals weekend on September 10th & 11th.

A huge thank you to the Victoria Saints Bowls Club for their excellent hospitality and for their presentation of a very good green.

Finally, we offer our thanks to Ms. Enda Gormley, our umpire for the day.

John Jenkins Memorial Match - May 2022

On Sunday 15th May, the John Jenkins Memorial Match was held at Bryn Road. 

The Swansea Bowling Association were represented by rinks from Coedgwilym, Mynyddbach, Sketty Church, Victoria Saints, Clyne Valley, and Dunvant

We thank the Swansea Bowling Club for their excellent hospitality once again.

The match itself was played in a friendly but competitive manner with the Bowling Association retaining the trophy.

It is hoped that this fixture will remain on our schedule for many years to come.

BSC Landore merge with INCO

The name of Coedgwilym Bowls Club this season reappears after an absence of 20 years. BSC Landore have amalgamated with INCO and will now be known as Coedgwilym Bowls Club. We wish the club every success both on and off the green.

Welcome to Tyn - Y - Twr Bowls Club

Welcome to Tyn - Y - Twr Bowls Club who have joined our Association. We would like to extend a very warm welcome to Tyn - Y - Twr who along with Landore Social and Waunarlwydd ALCOA will compete in the Swansea Bowling Association this season.

2 Teams Apply to Join our Association

We are delighted to receive applications from Landore Social Bowls Club and ALCOA Bowls Club to join the Swansea Bowling Association.​

At our AGM last Wednesday, the applications were accepted unanimously and we welcome both Clubs in the hope of a long and happy stay as members of the Swansea Bowling Association.

DUNVANT WINS MOND SHIELD 1ST DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1967.

DUNVANT WINS MOND SHIELD 1ST DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1967.

In an exciting climax to the season Swansea and Old Landorians dented BSC Landore's hopes with narrow victories on the closing weekend of the season. This enabled Dunvant to maintain top spot with an 8 point margin over 2nd place BSC Landore. Victoria Saints finished 3rd and Old Landorians 4th.

Dyfatty and Hafod Brotherhood were relegated to the 2nd Division.

Jersey claimed the 2nd Division Championship by pipping Bonymaen on the last Saturday of the Season.

The Graham Jones Double Fours was won by Dyfatty.

The Super 9 saw a conclusive victory for Victoria Saints over Parc Llewellyn.

The Rink Finals both saw exciting 1 shot victories for Bryn Road in the Ern Walters Cup and Tawe in the Rink League Final.

Dunvant capped a fine season by beating Mynyddbach in the Walter Withey Triples Final and Sketty Church narrowly beat Parc Llewellyn in the Gatwick Shield final.

An excellent finals weekend was enjoyed by large crowds at Bryn Road. The weather held firm and all enjoyed the excellent hospitality of the Swansea Bowling Club.


We now move forward towards the Annual General Meeting in November when momentous decisions have to be made regarding the way forward for the Association.
